This illustration was inspired by the peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) that began nesting at the top of my local church.

Known as the fastest animal on earth, these birds can reach up to 200 miles per hour during their dives or ‘stoops’.

I am fascinated by these magnificent falcons and decided to illustrate one in a black and white style to create a bold final piece.
