Youngwilders & Sustainably Muslim

This event was a collaboration between the youth-led rewilding group, Youngwilders and Sustainably Muslim.

The workshop was a meadow mixer that combined Islamic approaches to sustainability with meadow ecology, citizen science and creative observations.

I was lucky to co-lead and design the creative meadow drawing at the end of the session.

The creative workshop involved some simple drawing tasks to break the ice and get everyone relaxed. Followed by longer observational drawing of the meadow which everyone participated in and embraced beautifully.

I also spoke about the importance of art in the sustainability/conservation movement as well as highlighting some of my favourite work by artists who focus on conservation messaging.

The prompt pages were created before the session for Youngwilders to use and distribute during the workshop.
